The Things I've Learned

Ambition is such a funny thing. I've known for a few months that my girls would be taking a trip to Grandma's this week and I had such great plans! I was going to catch up on all those movies I've wanted to see. I was going to make cards. I was even going to...sort through the boxes and boxes of pictures and organize them into some semblance of...well something, I guess. My kidlets come home tomorrow and have I accomplished anything? Does making a whopping two cards count? I did rent and watch Confessions of a Shopaholic which was excellent, and Paul Blart, Mall Cop, which was not so excellent. And the pictures? Well, I guess it's a good thing I never got to it because I met my aunt for lunch today and she gave me envelopes full of family photos. Ah, the best laid plans, lol.

I finally picked up a bottle of Prima flowers this week that had colors I could use for this card. It's the same as the pink one I'd made before, but in blue this time.

While I was finishing the card, I learned some very valuable lessons:
1) When you want to apply tacky glue to a surface, make sure the cap is off first.
2) Don't put your roll of Glue Dots on the table as if it were a wheel. Lay it down flat. Otherwise you end up with a lovely trail of unusable sticky dots on your table. Then again, it could be a fun, new dinner game. The person with the sticky dot beneath their plate doesn't have to do the dishes.
3) Paper flowers NEVER go back into their container the same way they came out.

We'd love to hear what kinds of crazy things you've learned in your crafting adventures. Leave your comments here. I wish we could offer some sort of random blog candy, but alas Danielle and I are independently poor, lol. We'd love to hear your stories anyway.

Hope you're all having a great weekend! A very, very, Happy Birthday to my Sweetie!

P.S. Sis, I love ya bunches! (BH)
